Rosario
Rosario is also an amazing grandmother to her daughters’ four little boys. She spends a lot of time visiting and helping care for the little men.
But when her daughter’s twins were born Rosario began to have a hard time caring for them. Her osteoporosis was taking over, she felt weak, sluggish, and unsteady on her feet.
Anyone familiar with osteoporosis knows that the maintenance medication can be bit harsh on the system too.
Goals
My goal with Rosario was to safely begin strength training with a strong focus on building up the muscles surrounding her hips and spine. Balance was also a crucial element to her training program.
We train together twice a week.
Results
Rosario’s case is one that ranks at the top for me. I will never forget the day she came in for a session and told me that her doctor said she no longer needs her osteoporosis medication. Those words spoke volumes to me.
Exercise has changed her life. She gets up from the floor without s struggle now, and she’s squatting an impressive amount of weight.
What brings her the most happiness and satisfaction is that she can pick up her grandchildren and place them safely in their cribs – something she couldn’t even imagine doing only a few short months ago.
